The use of custom ground
knives has become a large part of the custom woodworking
industry as of late. There are many options available
including the old standby, lock edge shaper knives, and
the more common corrugated back knives. Carbide
Specialties manufactures custom knives in many types of
knife material. Some of the available types include M2
High Speed Steel, Carbide Tipped, and special Knife-Lock
systems. All knives are designed in CAD from wood
samples, drawings, existing tooling, and even the
occasional verbal description. |
